Paul Felder seemingly only has close fights
Paul Felder will step in against Rafael Dos Anjos on short notice this weekend at UFC Vegas 14. The veteran fighter has already nearly retired at least once, but he is set to continue fighting. While reviewing his career numbers prior to this fight, it became clear that Felder has a lot of very close fights in terms of significant strikes.
In his 14 fights, he has collectively outlanded his opponents by only 48 significant strikes (sig strikes for minus sig strikes against). The comes out to an average of 3.43 per fight. The fighter with the least separation between themselves and their opponents in heavyweight Shamil Abdurakhimov. Through his eight UFC fights, he has landed the exactly same number of significant strikes as he has absorbed.
